- <p> Funk metal rhythm violin at its best--that's how maned
- musician Mark Wood touts his work, and who can argue with him?
- After all, Wood is the world's only heavy-metal violinist. Soon
- there may be no escaping the strains of Wood's strings from his
- new album Voodoo Violince to a video starring Wood sawing away
- on a two-necked electric violin affectionately dubbed the
- Violator. His latest coup: the sound track for the prefilmed
- sequences of CBS' Olympic coverage. "I use French horns for the
- majesty of the Olympics, slamming drums and distorted guitars
- for the grunge and the sweat and the blood."
